Strive to grow together


India and Bangladesh are linked in many ways. People understand that the two close neighbors have to evolve and grow together to ensure that growth provides more opportunities for the peoples of both countries.

During his three-day visit, Pranab Mukherjee strongly conveys the message that India undertakes all promises, the including the Teesta is the exchange of water and land agreements to implement border.

During his stay here, Pranab Mukherjee expresses its hope that the long-awaited Teesta water common cause and land boundary agreement (LBA) would be signed very soon. He also said a bill related to the LBA placed in the budget session of Indian Parliament and hoped that the Bill will go through.

"The Bill for the ratification of the LBA 1974 and its Protocol 2011 placed in India Parliament in its session budget" quoted Foreign Minister Dipu Moni Pranab.

"We are also in favour of the ratification of the LBA to prepare in our Parliament. We hope that Teesta agreement as soon as possible will happen, "said the Foreign Minister.
